– Swami Medhatithi Agneya –
The intricacies of the relationship between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) was in the headlines, since the results of last Lok Sabha elections were out on fourth June 2024. While from the side of BJP much restraint was evident, RSS was more vocal. Atmosphere was vitiated with news items that, the decline in BJP seats was a lesson that the RSS taught BJP, towards primarily their authoritarian style of functioning. BJP was also accused of ignoring Hindu interests and appeasing Minority communities – even though, by and large, they never vote for BJP. Further, giving candidacy for those who were corrupt or known for their anti-Hindu stand were some of the prominent accusations made against BJP. There had been accusations in the public arena that even in the running of state administrations of BJP ruled states, like Utter Pradesh, Rajasthan etc. its Chief Ministers were not given requisite freedom. Further, it has been alleged that the ticket distribution for elections was managed single handedly from Delhi and the chief ministers had no say on it. And in many a case, it was alleged that the candidates were forced up on the people against their will. Another reason heard for the debacle was the corruption and police raj in which a victimized party worker, that is a commoner, had to pay bribe in the police stations, to get out of a case in which he was falsely implicated. In short, even the BJP legislators or party could not help a hapless worker of their own party, due to the tight hold of bureaucracy. It was even rumored that a prominent chief minister of BJP had no freedom even to appoint his Chief Secretary or DGP. Again, there were reports that the acquisition of land in Varanasi and Ayodhya caused wide spread resentments, as many Hindus lost their livelihood in the process and such sufferers were paid only paltry compensations. Added to all these were the statement of the President of BJP, amidst the process of election, which in effect meant that the party is not dependent on RSS for winning the elections. A very predominant and clear complaint heard against BJP, amidst the reports of all other shortcomings was that it was not at all bothered about the Hindus, once they won elections and on the contrary they were overly persistent in appeasing minorities – who, as said, by and large, never voted for BJP, despite availing many freebies. As usual, BJP was on mauna-vrth or there came no satisfactory responses or explanations from them, to the extent of helping correcting the notions of a common man, so that he will be an asset in future elections.
Frankly speaking, it is essential that the BJP rule in this country continued for next many terms to come, as it is a proved fact that the country is safe in their hands – let whatever be the shortcomings alleged against them. The programs initiated by them aiming the long term development of the country, especially the gatishakti likeinitiatives, matured and vibrant foreign policy formulations, bold defense initiatives, the adorable capacity shown by the BJP Govt. in the face of adversities like Covid etc. were excellent or amazing, if to use simple and moderate words. These are apart from the various welfare measures initiated by them in the fields of hygiene, housing sector etc. Above everything, the country in general had a feeling that Shri Narendra Modi is the ablest visionary Prime Minister, the country ever had seen. Further, the people respected his selflessness which was overly evident from the fact that he was always eager to bring up a second line of leadership in the party, by rightly choosing the ablest and deserving youngsters from different parts of the country – a feature not at all seen in normal political parties. Again, sensible and nationalistic country men felt deeply indebted to him as it was his visionary approach that blasted the myth that this country cannot be ruled without the help of prominent minority communities.
Now whatever may be the highest level of respects the nationalist Hindus have towards the BJP or its Prime Minister or its various Chief Ministers, the election results of parliament declared on fourth June 2004 was a rude shock for them. And, this result perplexed and stunned an average nationalist Hindu voter to the extent that he was forced to rethink on all his great concepts about RSS, BJP and the prime minister. This was because of his realization of a total shattering of dreams that he was carrying about the nation building and his expectations for getting resolved of the burning religious issues – that he was confronting for decades. Even in the face of all these setbacks, he seems to be reasonably optimist with the overall outcome, that there are still opportunities for the government to rise up to the expectations of the nationalist voters, who voted for them, if they have a will for it. Whatever great a party may think about itself or its sincere members may expect of it, in democracy the elections are by and large fought and won on electoral tricks, rather than on facts, figures or personality of leaders. Though this can be termed as a shortcoming of democracy, it is a harsh reality, especially when bulk votes are moved on caste, linguistic and religious considerations. If any party failed in this electoral management process, it will simply be known as a failed party in the eyes of the general public – let whatever may be the aura of greatness it was having. Let it be BJP or any other party. It is as simple as that. Now while coming back to the issue, it has to be said bluntly, considering the aura that BJP and RSS was possessing, this was not at all the results that they deserved. They, the NDA coalition had to get somewhere around 400 seats with BJP alone in a half way crossed position. It therefore is important to analyze the matter crystal clear so that the weak links can be identified, to avoid such mistakes in future. Had the BJP not come to power this time – though with little margin – not only the great works it had undertaken in last 10 years would have become a sheer waste but equally also the country would have been facing severe internal and external problems. Who or what to be blamed for this situation – the BJP or the RSS or the immaturity of average Hindu Voters? Let us analyze these matters systematically.
The RSS
Let us start with the RSS. RSS is known to be the greatest monolithic, patriotic Hindu organization in the country, formed mainly with the pious objective of helping existence and survival of Hindu Religion or Sanathana Dharma. In essence, it concentrates on making oneself a capable defender of Sanathana Dharma, selfly. Here it is defined only in a simple way, without entering in to the complexities of the concepts of agenda – Bharat or Hindu Rashtra etc., included in their vocabulary. In short, they believe in creating or preparing self-sufficient individuals capable of defending the Hinduism or nation. While the intention or goal is most pious and no nation loving or religion loving individual can find any fault with it, is it not high time to evaluate the efficacy of this organization as a whole, for attaining its long cherished goals. This review is all the more important in the context that the RSS is completing its 100 years of its existence next year, that is in 2025. Since history cannot lie of what has been done and what has not been done, let us verify few of the most predominant incidents of recent past as given below, taken place in this country, related to Hindu Religion, as well as the role played by RSS, in resolving it:
– Nupur Sharma episode and subsequent killings of innocent individuals.
– Palghar and other related killings of Hindu Saints.
– religious conversions that was taking place – and that is still continuing – almost in every part of the country, without any hindrance.
– the case of many north-eastern states that became almost 100 percent Christian states, after 1947.
– Meenakshipuram conversions taken place during 1981 in Tamil Nadu.
– the state of affairs of Tirupati temple which is on news for many years.
– the case of Hindus living in Constant fear, in different parts of the country, when they preferred to vote for BJP.
– the case of attainment of Monopoly in various trades and businesses by a minority religion in various states like Kerala and making the economic situation of Hindus, extremely vulnerable.
– the case of acquisition or controlling of almost all prominent Print and Electronic media by a minority religion in Kerala like states.
– the case of prevalence of an air of fear in various parts of the country to speak against a minority community.
– the case of becoming of the total state administration, in different states, absolutely pro-minority.
– the case of ever increasing minority welfare schemes.
– the case of Cornering of Educational and other schemes of central Government by minority groups.
-the case of total misuse of arts, cinema etc. for Hindu abuse and pro-minority propaganda.
– the case of loud jihadi proclamations that goes totally unreplied or uncritisised.
– the case of large scale abuse of images of Hindu gods, goddesses, temples and scriptures that goes totally unreplied or uncriticized.
– the case of not supporting the efforts for regaining important temples of Mathura, Kashi and Bhoj sala.
– the case of total silence on problematic Waqf Act.
– the case of total silence on Places of worship (Special Provisions) Act 1991.
-the case of total silence on bringing Hindu Temples back to Hindus by separating it from secular govts.
If to quote more similar incidents or situations, the list shall be extremely long and therefore the above may be considered as few examples only. Towards almost all the above cases or incidents, the response of RSS was a deafening silence, if to use moderate words. Practically there was no visible action or response from them, befitting the occasion, at all. The common man did not feel even the existence of such an organization – effective intervention was a distant dream. RSS seemed to be totally helpless, and remained like a mute spectator in all these and similar occasions. If one discusses these and similar matters with any hard core RSS men, they have their stock replies, like their so and so organization or karsevaks are active in such places or they have initiated such and such steps there etc. etc. But if you verify on ground, you may see that nothing has been changed and all nefarious anti-Hindu activities are still continued with added impunity. If any modification on any incidents happened, one can see on close observation that it was by and large owing to the natural evolution of circumstances, than due to any effective intervention by anybody.
Now, when a major train accident takes place and if one lone person is involved in voluntary works to salvage the situation, it is anybody’s guess as to where the matter will ultimately reach. This almost seems the style of work that RSS continue with. These statements are not to ignore or belittle the works that RSS had been doing all along or are still doing, in certain sectors. It is only to indicate that it has to have a more professional approach to any stated situations, and if so, at least they can be more opened up to create requisite awareness among the people about the enormity of the problems in hand – when they are unable to do something solid with the resources they do have. This is all the more important, as vast sections of the Hindus are not aware of the gravity of the situation – which can quite be out of control any time. By not controlling the situation and by not telling the country men about the problems in hand in case they are helpless, they the RSS is doing quite a disservice to the Hindus on certain vital fronts. Because, majority of the Hindus still think that their future is safe in the hands of RSS. Now, just doing something for namesake and doing the requisite things are totally different. Again making a statement for namesake and making a proper statement in the proper manner with adequate follow up action are different. Further, writing an article in the mouthpiece publication and making a statement in any prominent national media are totally different. If they make some sincere efforts to know about the reach of the mouthpiece publications, as to how many of the ordinary Hindu men are aware of the existence of such publications, they can know the reality well. RSS need to ponder on these matters well. The action for resolving an issue or for attaining a goal should well be commensurate with the intensity or enormity of the issue and anything disproportionate shall end up in utter failure only. And this seems to be dilemma that RSS is confronting now.
Let us have a bit more deeper understanding of the factualities of the case that precipitated the aforestated situation with RSS. Let us be sure, with utmost clarity at the outset itself that the intelligentsia of the leadership of RSS are not naïve enough to misjudge the real problems that Hindu Religion faces on the ground. Now, while formulating or listing out their short comings, let us brush aside preliminarily itself the wild allegations that the leadership of this organization have been sold off or have been entrapped by opponents and the likes, as being widely heard from various corners, as those can only be considered as the resultants of the communication gap, due to their losing organic relation with the general Hindu population on the streets. It is natural that, when appreciable explanations are not forthcoming on the apparent failures or shortcomings of an organization, from the men on responsible position, the mass at large may indulge in wild speculations. The above accusations also need to be considered only from such a perspective.
Now, when the leadership is intelligent and there are no obvious reasons to cast any aspersions on their devotion towards the organization, then what may be the reasons that stop them from achieving the goals? In short, what stops the RSS from attaining its goals, despite the sincere wishes and supports of millions of its supporters? Now when the intention is pious and the leadership is selfless, why do the RSS finds it hard to proceed ahead towards their declared goals? Why their sincere works are not appreciated by the general Hindu masses – for whose decent survival the organization exists? Since none of the available replies provide any rational consolation, let us look more deep in to the issue. When one works overtime on issues for decades that craves for an answer and still meets with no success and on the contrary, the whole matter appears to be moving on reverse mode, then one has to assume that there must be something wrong with the basic concepts itself or there must be some serious systemic errors with the organization. Now let us proceed in those directions, to evaluate the crux of issues.
Basically RSS leaders believe and propagate that Hindu Religion, that is Sanathana Dharma, is a civilization or a way of life. In short, it is not a religion. Again, it keeps as its core belief that all the people living in this subcontinent, that is Bharatvarsha, are Hindus – irrespective of their religious faiths as Muslims, Christians etc. This concept also force them to look at even the invaders and their religious decedents in this country with high respects, as according to their basic concepts, they are all Hindus – as they all stay in this country. Furthermore, the RSS consider themselves to be a non-Hindu organization – as other than Hindus, minority religions also do exist in this country, who according to them, are also to be considered as Hindus only, due to the typicality of their concepts. Here, it can clearly be seen that the RSS has fallen prey to its own misconceptions or became prisoners of their own misconceived ideology. Now, if anybody is to evaluate the performance of RSS, it can well be seen that the illogicalities seen in their working has a perfect logical basis, stemming out from their fundamentally misconceived concepts. And anyone with a bit of logical thinking can predict well in advance, with absolute clarity that an organization moving with such a bundle of contradictions is destined to dooms only – as these concepts are totally inconsistent and contrary to factual realities on the ground.
Let us now examine as to why these concepts are being viewed as a bundle of contradictions. First of all their understanding of Hindu Religion or Sanathana Dharma is totally wrong. Hindu Religion is just a religion like any other religion and not a civilization or way of life, as the RSS leaders propagate. The civilizational features of Hindu Religion or Sanathana Dharma is only the outward expression of the behavioral or etiquettical pattern, shown by practicing Hindus or Sanathanis, when proceed in the path of self-realization, scriptured by the Vedic forefathers – the founders of Sanathana Dharma. And for a Sanathani, the righteous or dharmic living itself is told to be the path to realization. In other words, when a Hindu lives according to his religious scriptures, towards realization of the ultimate reality or truth of life, it is the dharmic principles he adheres to, like ahimsa paramo dharma (non-violence is the ultimate dharma), atidhi devo bhava (let guest be devine being to you) etc. in day to day life, that appear for others as a civilizational features or way of life. Hindu Religion has both the religious and Dharmic features, which no other religion in the world possesses and in no way it can be concluded as something to the level of just a civilization or way of life. While observance of certain dharmic principles, throughout life, is a fundamental feature of the Hindu religion, the real dharmic life in this religion starts only with Vanaprasta (the semi-renunciation stage of life that starts by almost sixty years of age) and life till that period has to be considered as religious only, as the binding force of such a life is selfishness, like any other religion. Now, if a man goes to gymnasium and got developed muscles in the process, would anyone call him a ‘developed muscles’ or a man? This is almost the case of calling Hindu Religion a civilization or way of life.
Secondly, on the aspect of all those living in Bharat are Hindus or Sanathanis. This is another gross mistake the RSS is committing. No explanation is required on this aspect as the factuality is before everybody’s eyes. It is totally an unrealistic concept and when it becomes the philosophy of an organization, it becomes suicidal for the generations of people who proceed with it. If the RSS wants to restate the holiness of this piece of earth and thereby retrieve it for Hindus, then they should realize that glossing over the reality like this can only result in degeneration of Hindu Religion, as is happening now. This concept is the root reason that degraded the Sanathana Dharma – a great dharmic religion, which taught the world the noble objective of human life – to the level of just a ‘civilization’ or ‘way of life’. (The survival of Sanathana Dharma and towards the same the survival of Hindu Religion, is not only important for Hindus of this country, but is an inevitable need of the entire free thinking humans world over, as it is the only religion that preaches on the inherent right of every living being taking birth on this planet, to righteously exist here, under its core philosophy of Dharma. Therefore, this piece of earth known in various names – with slight variations in meaning – like Brahmavartha or Aaryavartha or Bharatvarsha or Aarsha Bharatabhoomi or Bharat or India, shall have to remain a Hindu land for ever, as a sentinel for the righteous existence of the entire flora and fauna, which includes human too, of this third planet. Hindu religion stabilizes the cultural existence of human race, as the rain forests stabilize the climate of the earth and makes it livable).
Again, while coming back to the core theme of discussions, if entire people currently living in Bharat are considered to be Hindus, as RSS considers, then what is the purpose of existence of RSS? In other words, what has to be the objective of RSS when they keep such a concept as their core philosophy? Is it to protect the nation in general? Then for that the defense forces are there. Now then what are they existing for? It must now be amply clear for anyone who watches this organization that their present existential and identity crises are due to the deviation they made from the original objective for which it was set up. Originally it was set up for Hindus and therefore it was a Hindu organization, in every respect. Whoever was responsible for the present aberrations and resultant confusions, should understand that an organization shall have relevance only if it stands for any particular sections of people – and not for all sections of the society together. No organization can stand for entire people of a country as in the case of RSS, as it will then be on perpetual collision course with the government, as governments are the lawful authority to adopt such a position. Therefore, RSS may ponder the following suggestions for fulfillment of the historical duty for which it was set up by a great son of Bharat, and headed by many such great men, in the hitherto period of its existence:
1. RSS shall have to return to its original form of a Hindu Organization.
2. Only Sanathani Hindus should be its members. In short if anybody wants to become its member he or she should be a Hindu.
3. They shall have to declare aloud their Hindu credentials and should never be apologetic of it.
4. They shall have to correct their concept of Hindu Religion to the extent that it is basically a Religion with features of Dharma and not a civilization or way of life in any way.
5. It shall have to align itself as a cultural organization and leave away all political ambitions to BJP, so that there won’t be any duplicity or contradictions in its or BJP’s working.
6. RSS shall have to encourage active Hindu individuals to set up independent organizations (not to insist to be under its umbrella) so that at the hour of need there will be any number of organizations to support any Hindu cause. (An incident remembered to have taken place at Olavanna in Kerala – seems to be almost two decades before – is quotable on this occasion. There had been accusation that the RSS was creating problems in the locality wherein certain Christian missionaries were reportedly involved in religious conversion activities. On this, from the side of RSS, same faces were appearing for responding on TV discussions, whereas different set of people were defending different Christian organizations on the other side. For any innocent viewer, the issue appeared to be something between RSS and Christian missionaries and a general Hindu had nothing to do with it – though in reality it was an issue that affected every Hindu and therefore it should have been portrayed so. Though RSS was trying their level best, they were portrayed as a villain only in the whole process. This is only one case and there are any numbers of cases to show as examples, where RSS could not effectively convey its point and finally ended up as a villain in the minds of innocent Hindus – where in reality they should have been portrayed as real heroes. To ward off such possibilities they should encourage the setting up of any number of independent Hindu Organizations – as said, not under their umbrella – so that the Hindu causes shall be reflected as such and not as an RSS cause, before the eyes of a common man. This also shall ruin away the negative impact of the image of RSS as a monolithic and monopolistic organization of Hindus. Again, nobody may blame a Hindu a ‘Sangi’ for supporting his own religious cause, as automatically Hindu causes shall become every Hindus’ causes and not an RSS’s cause alone).
7. They should show more affection towards Hindus and stop over respecting the minorities under the hope that, such a gesture shall bring the minorities to their fold, one day. RSS should be well convinced that anybody with a developed rationale can accept Hindu religion only, on ultimate analysis and if Hindu religion can properly be preserved well for the posterity, entire human race shall accept it one day – of course when individuals are able to see the business or vested interests that are playing behind the existence of certain religions. It may also be relevant to mention here that in case the RSS do not make such an attitudinal change, there won’t be any hosts to receive the guests, on a distant future day, when they finally come.
8. RSS has to infuse perfect professionalism in to their operations/working.
9. They shall have to try to positively influence the Hindu industrialists or moneyed ones to do something for their less fortunate Hindu brethren, overtly, like other religious people do for their common men, so that a natural concern or inclination shall be developed for the existence and growth of Hindu business men, in the minds of ordinary Hindu men on the street.
10. RSS has to develop a clear concept of political Hinduism for survival of Hindu Religion, based purely on Vedic Dharma, in the face of the current multi-pronged oddities that try to annihilate Hindu Religion or Sanathana Dharma. They may have do it by rightly understanding themselves the true meaning, essence and scope of Vedic Dharma – which functionally can be described as Practical or Organic Dharma – prescribed by the Vedic founders of this religion, in place of the Absolute or Utopian or Impractical Dharma, being propagated by pseudo spiritual Gurus and certain ignorant interpreters of scriptures, which caused the gradual destruction or degradation of Hindu Religion for centuries. Vedic Dharma in essence means that the Dharma or Dharmic benevolence should be shown only to those who understand and appreciate it. Others, that is the ones who do not understand and appreciate it, have to be segregated from Dharmic people, for all practical purposes. In other words, RSS shall have to accept the Political Hinduism as their working philosophy for a smooth ride to attain their long cherished goals. Clubbing non-dharmic lot with dharmic people, for any political expediency, will ultimately result in the degradation of Hindu Religion, in the long run. They may also have to treat all those Swamis, Aacharyas, Gurus, religious Intelligentsia, Mats etc. that propagate self-destructing versions of Dharma, that is, Absolute or Impractical or Utopian Dharma, for their selfish ends or due to their ignorance, as sheer enemies of Hindu Religion or Sanathana Dharma.
11. RSS may have to keep itself away from judging on the appropriateness of any rituals or methods of worship or customs etc. followed in any shrines or temples etc. This is mentioned particularly in the context of its intelligentsia’s role in fomenting the Shabarimala Temple issue, in its early stages – though they have corrected it in later stages. They should better leave such issues to the wisdom of the spiritual heads and people who manage such places, for any corrections or modifications, if at all needed. In short, their direct area of operation shall have to be limited to the political Hinduism and the arena of realizational spirituality be left to the individuals or Ashrams or Temples etc. Also, it shall be vested upon them to segregate and expose the Swamis, Gurus, Aacharyas, Intelligentsia, Temples, Mats etc. who/which keep any political ambition other than political Hinduism, under the guise of spirituality, so that a Hindu on the street can rightly identify their nefarious intentions.
The BJP
Now let us evaluate the position of BJP. As a political party, almost nothing adverse can be observed on them in their first tenure of 2014-2019, other than the traits of dementia that was being developed in them, about the Hindu constituency which elected them to power. People were prepared to pardon them for this laxity – though it was a major lacuna – as the government had to do a lot in every sphere like infrastructure, foreign policy etc. as virtually the state had to be built up almost from scratches – while viewing from a nationalistic view point. Despite the hectic moves to distract the attention of the nationalist Hindu voters, by the print and electronic media, the average Hindus of this country voted them to power again during 2019, with the hope that the BJP during this term at least will surely attend to and solve their burning issues. To their dismay not only BJP failed to attend to any Hindu issues, but they even created an impression that they have no plan to do any such things and at the same they made amply clear that they are eager to do many things for the welfare of minorities, who almost virtually boycotted them in elections. This immensely hurt the Hindus who voted them to power.
BJP failed to understand that the building up of roads, introduction of more trains, increased gas connectivity, higher number of electricity and water connections, construction of more houses and lavatories etc. alone are not going to bring them votes. Though initially many were enthused on these aspects, people felt dismayed or bored on these matters as they get enlightened that nothing related to their religion had been done and what ever had been done belongs to general public. Though this cannot be evaluated as a right way of appreciation of things, it is a matter of mass psychology. Any election propaganda aided with large scale money from vested deep states from almost all over the world, large scale electronic manipulation of information, extensive dominance of some of the anti-BJP stance of prominent print and electronic media etc. can easily exploit the Hindu mind and tilt the balance against BJP. And in all such situations, only those measures which BJP initiated exclusively for Hindus or the issues that they solved which were dear to Hindu minds, can come up for BJP’s help. Unfortunately it was a big zero for BJP on this front. Other than Ram Mandir, nothing else they had, to project. And the Ram Mandir issue too had lost its steam, since it was an electoral issue for many elections. Further, it was a fulfilled promise and not a promise to be fulfilled – that needs another term. In short, if BJP had done anything towards solving the issues which were dear to Hindu hearts, they would surely have been in a much higher, independently manageable position, now. BJP on the contrary, while did not do anything for their Hindu constituency, irritated the voters by fielding candidates of known anti BJP philosophy in many a case. If the reasons for the current electoral debacle is analyzed logically, it can well be seen that it was this negligence of Hindu cause by BJP, that impacted on them heavily, in different places, on the excuses of wrong candidate or wrong caste etc. Had they been maintaining an organic relationship with their voters – which was possible only by solving their problems – this would not have been the situation. BJP should have understood that their developmental agenda alone is not going to bring them votes. Only a progress card of developments equally balanced with resolution of issues which are close to Hindu hearts can fetch them votes. Otherwise not – as solving issues close to Hindu hearts can only make an organic relation for the party with the masses at large. In short, on ultimate analysis, BJP’s policies alone have to be held responsible for its debacle, than any other external or internal factors. It indirectly also suggests in a crystal clear manner that the lost ground can easily be retrieved by fully concentrating on the Hindu constituency or in other words, by solving the burning issues of Hindus.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is the finest of the Prime Ministers this country ever had, in the long list of prime Ministers of this country, from any point of view. And it is an absolute fact. He is a great visionary. Under him corruption has almost been wiped out. Foreign policy is in its zenith. Economically country is in the path of defeating new heights. But unless the expectations of the core constituency of BJP is met with, that is the burning Hindu issues are resolved, BJP will have no organic relation with its core voters, as said. And again, if the leadership has a will to attend to it, and if they are tactful enough, it is still possible, that is, even with reduced numbers. Let us now verify in seriatim the prominent or burning issues that a Hindu voter expects the BJP to resolve at the earliest:
1. BJP has to be unapologetic of the Hindu causes and towards the same they need to reaffirm or realign themselves to be a Right-wing Hindu Nationalist Party.
2. BJP has to ensure governmental support for regaining the disputed religious sites of Kashi, Matura and Bhojshala.
3. It has to take steps to dismantle the Places of worship (Special Provisions) Act 1991, so that prospective individuals can pursue meritorious cases in the courts of law, to its logical conclusion.
4. It has to undertake a thorough review of the Waqf Act and amend it accordingly, so that, it can be quite logical, factuality based and totally in consistence with the democratic and co-existential norms of this nation.
5. It has to initiate steps to enact a new law for ownership and administration of Hindu Temples in the country or in short for separation of Hindu Temples from the control of so called secular governments, as in the case of minority religious institutions. Towards this the Government can form an apex body/trust at central or national level and another set of bodies/trusts at the state or UT levels. These trusts shall manage in the apex level all major Temples and in the state or UT level all minor temples, presently managed by various bodies under state governments etc. The Trustees of these bodies shall be drawn from the elected MPs in the Central level and MLAs/MLCs in the state or UT levels, who are Hindus and believing in idol worships and stand for the growth of Hinduism and temples and also are prepared to give an affidavit to the effect. In the event any states or UTs lack such MLAs/MLCs, the state organization of temple administration shall be directly under the central body/trust. Further, all the employees of the organizations, which look after the administration of the temples shall be Hindus, as prescribed for Trustees. Duration of Trustees shall be the period or term of MPs or MLAs/MLCs. And a varying period of office may be more appropriate so that administration shall have continuity, as everybody may not be retiring at a time. Number of Trustees etc. may be decided based on the enormity of the work. Further, the festivals and other related day to day aspects of the temples shall be looked after by local level committee of Hindus formed for the purpose – as is being done at present. (This is only one practical suggestion and the government can consider any other better logical suggestion, if they so feel).
6. Consider steps to abolish all minority schemes and enactment of new schemes, if needed, on the basis of economic criteria, making it applicable for all. In the event minority schemes cannot be abolished for any reasons, similar schemes should be enacted, as applicable, for all Hindus too.
7. Initiate steps to form a national work culture policy, like that of the developed countries or even that of many gulf countries, so that there shall be encouragement for professionalism in the country, there shall be lawfully administered work hours, decent and comparable minimum salary (not a namesake minimum salary, but a well comparable one with that of overseas developed countries), leave and other service benefits etc. for the employees of all vital sectors. Such a step shall help to upbring the overall prestige of the country, elimination inhuman exploitations in the fields and exercise control on brain drain being taken place in the country, for these basic facilities abroad.
8. Enact a law to stop offering benefits on the basis of religion, by political parties, for coming to power in the elections.
9. Introduce an Act to enforce strict population control measures to the extent that the number of children is restricted two.
10. Enact a law to restrict voting right in a family to four (parents plus two of the youngest eligible children – if more than two children are there – to stop planned overthrowing of governments through population explosion.)
11. Bring an Act to abolish voting rights of proven terrorists, secessionists, and other anti-national elements and their supporters/relations involved in such cases.
12. Introduce an Act to abolish purchase of Hindu lands by minority communities in vulnerable areas.
13. Initiate steps to effect requisite reforms in the Judiciary of the country.
14. Take necessary steps so that entire laws of the country shall be gender neutral.
15. Enact a law so that the legal validity of marriages, adoptions, inheritance etc. shall be uniform across all communities in the country.
16. Take necessary measures so that the BJP Ministers shall be more vocal and interact with the press on issues of importance frequently. Again, the elected representatives shall have adequate say on the bureaucracy and they may generate an impression among the masses that along with Prime Minister, they too are involved in the administration of the country.
17. BJP has to actively work to introduce a new curriculum for the History classes of the country, strictly based on the actual history of the nation, as such a step is overdue for creation of a self-respecting posterity.
18. BJP leadership shall have to sincerely love the nationalist Hindus, who are their core constituency, and it has to be proved through their action on ground.
19. BJP shall have to work for effecting a System change with the change of Government. It cannot achieve a pro-Hindu ambience in the country without effecting a system change along with their assumption of power. When a common man finds the same person sits on a pivotal position or experiences the same level of resistance when he approach him for any work, naturally he will be totally upset of the government which came to power because of his contribution and efforts, too. This is all the more important since the BJP government seems to believe and depend more on the bureaucracy, than its elected representatives, in comparison with any other governments, the country has ever seen. Now, take the examples of central government establishments in various states, where non-BJP governments are in power. It is regrettable that not an iota of prospects brightened up for the Hindus voted for BJP, in general, in these states during the last 10 years of rule. A system change can effect only when nationalist Hindus who love their brethren, man the key posts of the government. In last 10 years the BJP seems to have paid no attention towards these vital sectors, though that alone can provide the imprints of a paradigm shift. An important example to be noted in this context is the film certifications. While during these periods the nationalist films faced horrendous troubles in getting certification and requisite approvals, anti-Hindu or anti national ideas had almost a free run. Posting anybody close to any minister to any pivotal position doesn’t mean a posting for a systemic change. He or she should be somebody with a love for the nation and Hindu brethren.
20. BJP has to act decisively with the anti-national, anti-Centre and anti-Hindu activities taking place in different parts of the country. By not acting decisively on such forces, these forces get a boost on their attitude, while the nationalist forces of the country get immensely weakened. This in the long run, while ruin the nationalistic spirits of the citizens, would also take away the immunity of the Centre, as in the case of an inadequate dose of anti-biotic threaten the existence of the very living being, also makes the problematic bacteria grow stronger for future.
21. BJP shall have to come out of the shadow of RSS and look after its affairs independently. Its Prime Minister or chief executive shall have to be finally responsible for both party and administration. In the name of independence of party, if party control is divested to another level, say to RSS, it will be a utopian concept only, as both administration and party shall be on perpetual conflicts, due to the undercurrents of unseen deep states. Further, a duality of control will only encourage mutual blame game in the event of a negative development like that of the present poll debacle. For the present debacle while the BJP and RSS can blame mutually for any number of reasons, the real ultimate sufferers in the process are ordinary Hindu men, who voted the party with much hopes – and not both BJP and RSS, as organizations. To ward off all such problems, it is essential that the BJP realign itself as a Right-wing professional, independent, Hindu national party. Let the RSS continue as a cultural organization as they claim. Again, as said earlier about RSS, the BJP shall have to encourage the coming up of any number of nationalist organizations, as it will be an essential tool to communicate with the country men, in the complexities of the contemporary world manipulated by the unseen internal and external deep states. And in such a situation, all Hindu Religious organizations, including RSS shall be its natural allies or supporters. In short, it is also essential for the BJP to have its narrative propagating nationalist groups, in large numbers – which they terribly lacked. And it appears that they are not at all aware of this reality, as no efforts are still being seen on their side for correction of such a situation and on the contrary they seem to be on a destruction mode of whatever weak links are available in the country, of such self-motivated nationalist forces. It needs to be reiterated once again that unless the RSS and BJP initiate on a course correction as explained, the future shall be extremely bleak. Such an overt pro-Hindu stand alone can reestablish their lost organic relation with their core constituency, which is the Hindu. Such a step is not only an inevitability in an Indian context, but equally on a world context too.

This article may be viewed, more as an aspirational account of an insider, for improvements in the problematic situations cited, rather than an accusing finger, pointed towards anyone, as Shri Narendra Mody, RSS and BJP have no substitutes in the country.
